30-365 | Day 95

Twin Towers

We were up early this morning to catch the sunrise in Little Ruin Canyon so that I could try and get a good photo of the Twin Towers. These towers intrigued me last night, but the light on them wasn’t that great before sunset. Notice the small, square opening in the rock beneath the tower on the right.

Bonus Photo: Eroded Boulder House

This is one of the coolest ruins I have come across, so I just had to post a photo of it that was also taken this morning shortly after sunrise. This dwelling was built right inside an eroded boulder on the canyon floor.

Bonus Photo 2: Lowry Pueblo

Before heading home, we stopped at the Lowry Pueblo in the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument and went inside to get a look at the partially restored kiva. I really liked the orange glow of the sunlight reflecting off of the walls.
