When I took my dad and sister to the Colorado National Monument yesterday, they wanted to stop at the visitor’s center to look around. While I was there, I was tempted to buy some new books and ended up picking up two new ones…
Grand Mesa Country: Stories from Mesa & Delta Counties in Colorado by Abbott Fay
Tales, Trails, and Tommyknockers: Stories from Colorado’s Past by Myriam Friggens

When we were in Arches National Park last weekend, we stopped at the Visitors Center before leaving to see if they had any good books. I picked up a short book by Maxine Newell about the life on Wolfe Ranch.

Just wanted to post up that I read this book a few weeks ago, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys visiting Moab or even any other western town. Jim Stiles is the author of this book and also publishes the Canyon Country Zephyr. He has lived in Moab for about 30 years and has seen how Moab has changed over the years, and isn’t afraid to speak his mind. I really enjoyed reading this book.
