First Snow
Well, we got our first snow down here in the Grand Valley tonight. Actually, it’s still snowing.
Here’s a quick picture I snapped 🙂

My original plans for today was to get up early and to explore Garvey Canyon located north of Fruita in the Book Cliffs. However, it rained all day yesterday and I figured the trail would still be slick and muddy today, so I cancelled that plan. Guess I will have to wait until the spring to check out that canyon now, because is closes for the season on December 1st.
Now, I’m just waiting for Amanda to get off work at about 12:30 so that we can head down to Blanding, Utah this evening. We are planning on spending the weekend exploring Anasazi ruins along Comb Ridge by foot and by Jeep this weekend. We should have plenty of pictures when we get back 🙂
Hope you all have a good 4th of July. I know I am in the San Juan Mountains this weekend 😀
My Jeep is loaded up and ready to head to the San Rafael Swell after work today, where I will be meeting up with Ryan and Clint for a weekend of camping, exploring and wheeling.
Unfortunately, I did notice a small coolant leak where the lower hose attaches to the radiator after I put my Jeep on the trailer….so I will need to fix that early tomorrow before we head out for the day.
Look for pictures and trail writeups when I get back next week 😉
