My first time…

…geocaching, that is 😉

Something I’ve always wanted to try and never got around to. Had no money to go wheeling or exploring very far this holiday weekend, so I decided to try my hand at some local caches with Amanda to see if we liked it. I know it’s not as cool as it would be in places like Colorado and Utah, etc…..but we still had a good time for our first time.

I did visit a bunch of places near my house that I either didn’t know existed, or that I have driven by a million times and never stopped and checked them out…..so we did get some local exploring in today 🙂

We found 6 out of the 7 caches we tried to find, so I think we did pretty well for a pair on newbies 😉

Now when I go wheeling and exploring across the country, I can stop and find some caches along the way, too.

My Magellan CrossoverGPS did a fine job of helping us throughout the day, so I’m still happy with that purchase, too. It’s turned out to be a well rounded device that has done everything I have asked of it.

Here’s a few pictures.

Labor Day Weekend Activities

I was a little disappointed that I didn’t really have any money to go wheeling anywhere this holiday weekend, but then I had a great idea the other night.

Geocaching has been something I have always wanted to try, since it would be a great activity that I could also enjoy when I go four wheeling and exploring. So I decided I’m going to head out and do some local geocaching this weekend and see how it goes.

Should be fun 🙂
