Well, I decided to come back home two days early. I need some time to relax, and I was a little tired of driving. I can go back to Moab any weekend to run the trails I skipped. As soon as I feel up to it, I’ll start posting my trip report 🙂
Well, it’s that time of year again. Time for my trip to Southern Utah. I’m leaving bright and early tomorrow morning and heading Southwest. While I have a general idea of the areas I want to check out, I have decided not to plan this trip as extensively as I have done in the past. I’m planning on taking my time and relaxing this weekend, while getting out and exploring some new country. I’ll definitely be working on my photography skills, and maybe even search for a few geocaches, too!
If I can get on the internet during the week, I’ll try uploading some pictures from my iPhone. If not, make sure to check back for my full trip report!
This is turning out to be a very busy week for me. I am leaving on a 9 day trip to Southern Utah on Saturday and I have a ton to do still! I just got in from the garage where I have been working on my Jeep all night. I still have a few things to finish up on it tomorrow after work, too! I need to get my camping gear together and packed. Plus, I still have to work on actually planning the trip. I have some ideas on where I want to go, but don’t have anything really planned out…..but that may make this trip more fun if I don’t plan the whole thing out.
Not to mention that we brought Mingo to the vet today to get fixed and declawed.
Like I said, it’s turning out to be a very busy week!
Well, here we are at the first day of Fall, and it sure does feel like it. It actually got down into the 30’s here in Grand Junction last night (it’s supposed to warm up later this week again)! The mountains are starting to get snow and the trees have already started change colors. This weekend will probably be my last trip up into the mountains this year. It will be our fourth annual Fall Colors trip 🙂
Southern Utah is calling my name….
I recently decided it was time to get a hat for when I am out in the sun. After some shopping around, I ended up ordering the Outdoor Research Transit Sun Hat in the Fossil color. It arrived today and fits well. I’ll be wearing it Sunday when I go hiking at the Colorado National Monument to see if I like wearing a hat or not…
