New Phone & GPS (AT&T Tilt)

Ended up picking up a new phone since I got such a great deal on it. Grabbed the new AT&T Tilt. It’s a little bigger that I am used to carrying around, but I think the features of this phone will be worth it.

With the built in GPS and Windows Mobile 6 operating system, I’m hoping it will make paperless geocaching a little easier for me, since I won’t have to carry two devices when I go out. It will also make it easier to do some quick caching in my free time.

I’ll definitely let you know how well it works for me for geocaching once I have a chance to try it out 🙂

One Year Anniversary

That’s right! It has been exactly one year since I brought my 2000 XJ home for the first time. Here’s the original post.

It’s amazing what I managed to get done to it in the last year, and the places I went with it.

Hopefully this next year will be another good year of wheeling for me, and I will get to explore a lot more backroads 🙂

One year ago:

Today (well actually November, but it hasn’t changed much since then):

Sledding

Since we got about 8″ of snow last night, Amanda and I decided to head out and go sledding this evening. I think the last time I went sledding was in grade school. It was a good time and we had fun.

Sorry, no pictures from this little outing….

Driving through Colorado

First off, let me say that driving West of Denver on I-70 on a Saturday morning during ski season is a bad idea. Traffic was terrible!!!

Anyways, I got up early this morning and left DJ’s apartment around 7am to head to Moab.

Besides the very heavy traffic, the drive was not too bad. This was actually my first trip on that stretch of I-70 without pulling a trailer behind me 😉

Made my mandatory stop at the BK in Downieville

(that’s my silver Impala SS rental)

Ran into some snowy conditions, but nothing too bad

Live from Denver

Yep, just posting a note to let you all know I’m in Denver this evening. If things go as planned, I should hopefully have some good pictures to post up in the next few days….so stay tuned. (Sorry, no wheeling pictures, though).

My flight to Denver was nice since I upgraded to First Class. I had plenty of leg room 😉 My rental Impala SS is very nice, too. Hopefully it doesn’t get me in trouble.

Anyways, I’m staying at my friend DJ’s apartment tonight, and I have to get up early tomorrow, so I am off to bed.
