Just some of the Christmas cookies Amanda baked for my office Christmas pot-luck today.

This morning Amanda and I hiked to the Mica Mine which is not too far from our house. When we reached the mine, I took some close up photos of the mica embedded within the wall of the old mine. This was the one I liked the best.

The many different but subtle shades of the desert varnish on a sandstone cliff on the way to Mica Mine.

I realized the other day that I didn’t have a good photo of the Wolfe Ranch petroglyphs that are along the trail to Delicate Arch at Arches National Park. Since I was in the area today, I stopped by for a few photos. This is one of them.

Before heading towards Moab this morning, I stopped to find a few pictographs and petroglyphs in the Book Cliffs. This was one of my favorite panels in the area.

Since I am donating the DVD player and remote tomorrow, I decided to take a photo of the remote before I got rid of it.
