Amanda and I went for a hike in Rattlesnake Canyon today to check out all of the arches. Here is a photo of the Hole in the Bridge, which is a double arch.

On a number of occasions while hiking the Serpents Trail at the Colorado National Monument with Amanda, I have mentioned how I need to come back to a particular overlook of Rim Rock Drive at night with my wide angle lens for a photo. Well, tonight was that night. Shortly after sunset, we headed up to the top of the Serpents Trail where Amanda dropped me off so that I could hike down to the overlook. When I arrived and got setup, I called Amanda on an FRS radio and had her head down the road. Luckily we also had plenty of other cars on the road this evening so that there were plenty of headlights to capture. When I was done, I hiked down the rest of the trail where Amanda was waiting to pick me up to head home.

After work, I took a nice hike in the Colorado National Monument to the Liberty Cap. Along the way I crossed paths with this colorful guy and got my camera out as quickly as I could to snap a few shots.

Went back to shooting some pictures of our cats today. Here’s one of Tellico ‘Rico’ on the kitchen floor that I liked. I still can’t get a good picture of Mingo no matter how hard I try!

I hate these things. They are all over the place right now. So I took a picture of part of a pile of them that has formed on my back porch.
