The Throne
I had my camera with me today when I took one of my daily walks through downtown Grand Junction on my break. I’m going to try and bring my camera with me more often. This photo is of one of the Art on the Corner pieces that line the street. The title of this artwork is ‘The Throne’ so I stuck with it.

Wagon Wheel
Before leaving Bluff this morning, I stopped at the Bluff Fort museum, which is dedicated to the pioneers of the Hole-in-the-Rock expedition (San Juan Mission) and their settlement of Bluff, Utah. This photo is of the wheel of an actual wagon that was on the Hole-in-the-Rock expedition and survived the trail they made.
Bonus Photo: Bluff Fort
Here’s a photo of one of the exhibits at the Bluff Fort. The wagon is in front of a replica of the Bluff meeting house.

Navajo Twins
After completing the Hole-in-the-Rock Trail, I figured a good way to end the trip would be a visit to Bluff, UT (their eventual destination) and a stop in the museum dedicated to the expedition. When I arrived in Bluff, I took some time to stop at Sunbonnet Rock and the Navajo Twins. Here’s a photo I liked of the Navajo Twins.

Pothole Reflection
At the base of ‘The Chute’ on the Hole-in-the-Rock Trail, we left our Jeeps behind and hiked down a canyon to find the Old Settler Natural Bridge. Along the way, we encountered numerous potholes in the floor of the canyon that were filled with water that had to be avoided. Here’s a photo of one of the larger one’s near the bridge. John is resting in the shadows.
