I took this photo of the Federal Building through the window of the parking garage across the street and converted it to black & white.

Fresh Chalk

This afternoon Amanda and I headed into Escalante Canyon to find some rock art. When we arrived at the Ute Petroglyphs in Dry Fork, I was disappoined to see that some idiot had chalked in the best petroglyphs at the site since I was there last. Below is a photo from July 3, 2009 without the chalk to compare…

Bonus Photo: Bighorn of Escalante

On our way out from visiting the Ute petroglyphs, Amanda spotted some bighorn sheep in a field belonging to the Escalante Ranch. She grabbed my camera and took this photo of one of them.

Aspen & Snow

I took this photo while snowshoeing along the West Bench Trail up on the Grand Mesa. Converted to black and white, because I liked it better than the color version.

Bonus Photo: Aspen Shadows

Another one taken along the West Bench trail. I was trying to capture the shadows of the aspens on the snow, and this is what I came up with. Converted to black and white, because I liked it better than the color version.

PhotoBook

A photo of the free photobook I got from Flickr & Snapfish for signing up for a Pro account. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it’s actually pretty nice. We might have to make one of these every year now.
